South Carolina farmers: you need to contact your congressman RIGHT AWAY!
The recent flooding caused tremendous devastation across our state. Farm Bureau has been working tirelessly to get federal aid included in an upcoming congressional spending bill.
South Carolina’s Agriculture Commissioner, Hugh Weathers, estimated the damage to farms caused by the historic October flooding to be $376 million when he testified this week before a special State Senate committee evaluating flood damage costs.
Unfortunately, Governor Haley has announced she will not request the additional needed flood relief funds.
That additional federal aid is now in jeopardy and our elected officials need to hear from you TODAY!
It only takes one more click to send your message to our members of Congress.
